About me

As a Clinical Psychologist I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space in which to explore and understand the difficulties that are bringing you to therapy. I understand that finding a therapist can feel daunting, and that connecting with someone who feels like the right fit is key. I predominantly use a CAT informed approach, EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy, draw on IFS / parts work, and body based somatic approaches. My particular interest is in working with adults and young people who have experienced developmental trauma. For me, it feels a real privilege to be able to tune in to and be alongside someone in their therapy journey, working to create a shared understanding of their life experiences, their best attempts to navigate the world as they experience it, and patterns that may now be keeping them stuck. Together, I work with clients towards their particular goals, finding a way forward that helps them move through life more easefully, in keeping with themselves and their values.

Most of my experience has been working in the NHS with young people and adults struggling with a range of difficulties, often related to traumatic life experiences. These include low self esteem, low mood, anxiety, dissociation, and difficulties with managing emotions and relationships. I have also worked on research trials for talking therapies. Within the NHS, I was the Lead for a Psychology Team and provided Clinical Supervision to trainee and qualified Clinical Psychologists.
