Mr Murthy initially embarked on basic surgical training in Otolaryngology (head and neck) and general surgery in various teaching hospitals in London. After obtaining his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology, he commenced higher surgical training in Otolaryngology in East Anglia for two years.
