About me
Welcome to my profile. I am a chartered counselling psychologist providing one-to-one sessions for adults aged 18 and over. I have extensive experience working with long-term and enduring depression and anxiety, trauma and complex PTSD, eating disorders, perinatal mental health issues such as postnatal depression and anxiety, work and university-related stress, and life transitions. I also offer psychological support for personal growth, self-awareness, and identity struggles.
I have worked in the NHS in primary and secondary mental health units, for specialised charities and in a private mental health hospital - all based in central London.
In my therapeutic approach, I use evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, third-wave CBT models such as Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I can also provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating disorders (CBT-E), short-term focused CBT-T and the Freed approach, which was specifically designed for young adults, including university students with early onset eating disorders.
I can offer short-term and long-term therapy, which could be solution-focused or explorative depending on your needs. I aim to provide a non-judgemental, compassionate and safe space where building a trust-based relationship with you is essential in my practice. My priority is to work collaboratively with you to understand and make sense of your experiences and struggles while exploring more helpful coping mechanisms tailored to your needs. As an integrative therapist, I would also take into consideration your age, background, cultural, spiritual, and religious beliefs, integrating these aspects into my therapeutic interventions if needed.
Before starting my career as a psychologist, I worked in multinational corporate companies and therefore, have a good understanding of corporate employees' issues and work-related stress. I have also lived in several countries and have developed an interest in cultural issues and challenges in a new environment, and how these factors may contribute to anxiety, depression and psychological distress.
Currently, I only provide online therapy sessions.
