About me

Mr Bowley initially trained as a Medicinal Chemist, graduating top of his year with first class honours at Nottingham Trent University, winning the departmental prize for Academic Achievement. During the third year of his degree, he worked for AstraZeneca in their cutting-edge drug development research facility.

Mr Bowley completed a Ph.D in organic chemistry and crystallography, prior to obtaining a place at medical school.

Mr Bowley graduated from The University of Nottingham's accelerated graduate entry medical programme in 2012, and went on to work in Cambridgeshire and then completing ophthalmic specialist training in the Peninsula deanery.

Once ophthalmic specialist training was complete, Mr Bowley secured a fellowship position in Medical Retina and Uveitis at the internationally renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Mr Bowley is now Medical Retina and Uveitis lead for Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
