About me
Miss Michelle Mooy is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist committed to providing compassionate, woman-centred care.
Michelle has over twenty years of experience in general gynaecology including abnormal and postmenopausal bleeding, pelvic pain, and ovarian cysts. She uses a one stop clinic approach whenever possible. Her expertise covers all aspects of ambulatory gynaecology, including ultrasound, outpatient hysteroscopy, colposcopy, and various procedures in the outpatient setting.
Apart from general obstetrics and gynaecology, Michelle has specialist training in hysteroscopy, acute gynaecology, early pregnancy and obstetrics. She is also an accredited colposcopist and examiner with the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).
Michelle earned her medical degree with First Class Honours from the University of Cape Town in South Africa, before specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London. She has trained in several high-volume hospitals including St Thomas' and Croydon University Hospitals. Michelle achieved her MRCOG qualification in 2010 and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) in 2024.
Following two years as a consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Michelle was appointed Lead Consultant for Colposcopy and Vulval Services at the Whittington Hospital in March 2023. She is passionate about education and training, actively mentoring the next generation of doctors and nurses in her NHS practice.
