About me
Mr Harrison is a consultant thoracic surgeon with a specialist interest in minimally invasive surgery (robotic and VATS) and thoracic surgical oncology.
Mr Harrison completed an advanced thoracic surgical oncology fellowship at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, USA. He gained advanced experience in the care of patients with all types of thoracic cancers including primary and secondary lung cancer, thymic cancer and mesothelioma. He also gained extensive experience in robotic surgery.
Prior to his time in New York, Mr Harrison also completed a dedicated robotic thoracic surgery fellowship at Guy's Hospital, London. Mr Harrison completed his training in cardiothoracic surgery at University Hospital Southampton and was appointed as a consultant thoracic surgeon in 2023.

Mr Harrison's specific interests include:
-Minimally invasive thoracic surgery, including robotic and VATS techniques
-Robotic lung resections (lobectomy and segmentectomy) for primary and secondary lung cancers
-Robotic and navigational bronchoscopy for diagnosis and treatment of lung nodules including early-stage lung cancer
-Enhanced recovery after surgery and the use of ambulatory chest drains to facilitate early patient discharge.
