About me

I have an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy with the University of Derby and I hold an accredited member status with the BACP. I have been in clinical practice since 2019 and set up my private practice in 2020. I have worked with Mind Charity and the NHS Talking Therapies service in Staffordshire for over 4 years and recently have gained experience working as an affiliate therapist with private health insurance counselling (EAP). Prior to my Mind experience, I have worked with clients who lived in a women's refuge who fled domestic abuse and I have worked with young people in schools and colleges. I have recently gained specialist training in Emotional Freedom Technique EFT tapping training which can help work with anxiety, trauma, anger and stress.

Areas of interest

I work in an Integrative, Trauma-Informed and relational way and offer intervention using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory and Trauma-informed interventions.
I have worked largely with anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, generational trauma, PTSD, low confidence, low self-esteem, negative critical voice, ADHD, Autism, perfectionism, sadness, loss, anger management, emotional unavailability, burnout, shame, stress and family issues. I have particular experience working with clients who have experienced trauma, domestic abuse and violence, emotional abuse, coercive control, psychological abuse, relationship problems, dysfunctional family relationship issues and generational patterns. I work well with those who haven't had counselling before as well as those who find it hard to open up about their feelings, and those that may have experienced difficulties in therapy before.
