About me
As an Accredited Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I have undergone professional training and adhere to high standards of ethical and effective practice.
With over 10 years of experience in private practice and organisational settings, I am committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring that I offer the most effective and up-to-date support for my clients.
As well as long term counselling and psychotherapy I also provide short-term, trauma-focused therapy using the Rewind Technique which is an approach proven to be highly effective in alleviating symptoms of trauma, including flashbacks, nightmares, and panic or anxiety attacks.
I am Queer allied and GSRD informed practitioner. I take an integrative and exploratory approach to psychotherapy, meaning our work together is not prescriptive or rigid. Instead, I work intuitively, helping you uncover and understand aspects of yourself that may have been hidden but are influencing your life today.
My role is to help you to share what feels difficult, challenging, or confusing, to support you in exploring patterns and themes that shape your experiences. Through this process, you can gain deeper self-awareness, which can lead to meaningful changes in how you relate to yourself and those around you.
Self-awareness is at the heart of therapy; it opens up new perspectives, highlights choices, and creates the opportunity for change.
Our first appointment is an assessment, giving us the chance to clarify your goals and expectations so that you can enter therapy with confidence. Each appointment lasts 50 minutes, and there is no fixed number of sessions, you decide what feels right for you. As we progress, we will review our work to ensure it remains focused and beneficial. When you've done what you need to do, we'll know.
