About me

Miss Sandwell was appointed to a substantive NHS consultant post at Guys and St Thomas' NHS foundation trust in 2023 where she is clinical lead for gynaecology outpatients. She underwent advanced postgraduate training in minimal access surgery. She has a particular interest in the use of this in endometriosis and fibroids together with the use of ultrasound to allow planning should surgery be needed.

Miss Sandwell completed her undergraduate medical training at University College, London and completed specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology in London and the South-east. She contributes to training the next generation and is invited faculty and speaker at specialist societies such as BSGE and the RCOG.

She has undergone specialist training in menopause and family planning and uses this to provide a holistic assessment for her patients, helping them to understand the impact of any diagnosis on important life milestones such as fertility, family planning and menopause.
