About me

Dr Edward Watson is a Consultant in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine at The Royal Marsden. He is the College Tutor for the College of Intensive Care Medicine, medical lead for the Critical Care Outreach service, and chair of the Resuscitation committee.

He also works at the Lister Hospital in Chelsea and at King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone.

He qualified from Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry and subsequently undertook postgraduate training in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine in the Southwest, East Anglia and London.

He is an Honorary Clinical Fellow at Imperial College London, where he is currently reading a PhD in Clinical Surgery. His research relates to perioperative care and the sequalae of critical illness, with a focus on neurocognitive impairment. He has published widely on the topics of delirium, neurocognitive impairment, psychology, and major burn injuries.
