About me

Dr Edward Watson is a Consultant in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine at The Royal Marsden, as well as the medical lead for the critical care outreach service.

He qualified from Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry and subsequently undertook postgraduate training in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine in the Southwest, East Anglia and London.

He is an Honorary Clinical Fellow at Imperial College London, where he is currently reading a PhD in Clinical Surgery. His research relates to perioperative care and the sequalae of critical illness, with a focus on neurocognitive impairment. He has published widely on the topics of delirium, neurocognitive impairment, psychology, and major burn injuries.
