About me
Mr. Tony Chalhoub is a world-leading consultant gynaecologist and internationally recognised authority in robotic-assisted and laparoscopic surgery, offering expert, holistic, and patient-centred care across the full spectrum of gynaecological conditions. He is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
Now practicing privately in London, Mr. Chalhoub is affiliated with prestigious hospitals including The Princess Grace Hospital (HCA) and Parkside Hospital (Nuffield Health), St Anthony (Spire), and serves as an NHS Consultant at St George's University Hospital. He is the founder and former director of the Northern Centre for Endometriosis, where he led the service to national accreditation and significantly improved outcomes for patients with complex gynaecological needs.
With over 27 years of experience and specialist training in the USA and the UK, Mr. Chalhoub has performed more than 1,500 robotic procedures, including over 750 robotic hysterectomies. His outcomes include a 99% same-day discharge rate, less than 1% complication rate, and zero conversions to open surgery, establishing him as a pioneer in transforming hysterectomy care into a safe and effective day-case procedure. He holds BSc, MSc, MD, MRCOG, and DFFP qualifications and is currently Chair of the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE).
Mr. Chalhoub specialises in managing complex gynaecological conditions such as deep infiltrating endometriosis, fibroids, chronic pelvic pain, irregular or heavy periods, and fertility-related challenges. He also provides expert assessment and management of hereditary cancers, including BRCA1, BRCA2, and Lynch syndrome (HNPCC). His care extends to conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), premenstrual tension (PMS), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms, and a wide range of hormonal and menstrual disorders.
Patients benefit from comprehensive one-stop diagnostic services for vulval, vaginal, cervical, and womb abnormalities, including abnormal lumps, itching, skin changes, postcoital bleeding, abnormal smears, vaginal discharge, postmenopausal bleeding, and painful intercourse. He also offers vaginal pessary fitting, fertility investigations, sexual health services, and gynaecological cancer screening. Mr. Chalhoub is deeply committed to inclusive care, providing respectful, affirming support for transgender and non-binary individuals.
Known for his warmth, surgical excellence, and outstanding communication, Mr. Chalhoub places great emphasis on shared decision-making, empowering patients with clear, compassionate guidance every step of the way. He welcomes both national and international patients, offering world-class care with precision, integrity, and compassion.
