About me
I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Bury St Edmunds since 2003. I combine a busy NHS and private practice and work at the BMI St Edmunds Hospital and the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds. I am a high volume knee and hip arthroplasty surgeon. During the last 12 months I performed 142 total hip replacements and 90 total knee replacements. Towards the end of my training I undertook a fellowship in Auckland, New Zealand specialising in Knee Surgery. I am an experienced arthroscopic knee surgeon and perform ACL reconstructions/repairs using the latest techniques.
I submit data to the National Joint Registry and National Ligament Registry. I am involved in a National Quality Improvement Collaborative to reduce infection rates in patients undergoing joint replacement surgery.
