About me

Hi, I'm Taf, a BABCP-accredited CBT Therapist, Supervisor, Trainer, and Mindfulness Teacher.

I provide evidence-based psychological therapy for adults experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and low self-esteem. I have over 15 years of experience working across the NHS, private practice, and higher education settings, including clinical and leadership roles in mental health and addiction services.

My main approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as recommended by NICE guidelines. I also integrate mindfulness-based approaches to help you develop greater awareness of your thoughts and emotions, reduce stress, and respond more effectively to difficult experiences. Where appropriate, I draw on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) to support the development of self-compassion and emotional resilience.

My therapeutic approach
I offer a collaborative, client-centred approach. This means we work together to understand what is keeping your difficulties going and to build practical strategies that support meaningful change. I aim to provide a safe, structured, and supportive space where you can explore difficulties and develop new ways of responding to them.
What sessions are like
In sessions, we typically look at the links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and how these patterns may be contributing to current difficulties. We then focus on developing practical tools and strategies that help you feel more in control and able to cope day to day. The aim is not just symptom reduction, but longer-term change and resilience.

Areas of interest

I work with people experiencing a range of common mental health difficulties, including anxiety disorders (generalised anxiety, panic, social anxiety, health anxiety), depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), low self-esteem, stress, and difficulties related to emotional regulation. I also support individuals experiencing work-related stress, burnout, and adjustment difficulties
