About me

Hi. I'm Taf, a BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist, Supervisor, Trainer and Mindfulness Teacher.

As an experienced CBT therapist and mindfulness teacher, I am dedicated to providing effective, evidence-based psychological interventions for individuals experiencing difficulties with their mental health. I have honed my skills in various mental health care and addiction services, serving in both clinical and leadership roles. With over 15 years of experience in mental health across the NHS, private practice, and higher education, I bring a diverse background to my work.

My central therapeutic approaches are grounded in CBT, as endorsed by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence). I also integrate mindfulness to promote self-awareness, reduce stress, and improve emotional regulation, making it effective for breaking automatic behaviour patterns and fostering healthier responses. Additionally, I have a strong interest in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), which focuses on enhancing self-compassion and emotional regulation.

Therapeutic Style

My approach is client-centred and collaborative, aiming to empower you by building on your strengths while equipping you with practical skills to navigate life's challenges. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where we can work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop strategies to foster resilience.

What You Can Expect from a Session

We will explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, focusing on addressing negative thinking patterns and developing healthier coping mechanisms. This structured approach not only addresses symptoms but also promotes long-term change. If you're struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, or self-esteem issues, my goal is to help you regain control over your life and well-being.
