About me
Dr Amaro joined an NHS-England Trust working in different settings including adult acute inpatient units, psychiatry intensive care units (PICU), old age and learning disabilities community teams. He is currently a Consultant Psychiatrist at a Crisis and Home Resolution Team.
He is on the specialist register within the GMC and has a membership with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He is also a member of the Portuguese Medical Council as well as the Portuguese College of Psychiatry. Currently he works as a Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Lead for a NHS Crisis Team.
As part of his complementary training, he has completed a Master's degree in education psychology, a University Certificate in Postgraduate Professional Development (UCPPD) in General Forensic Medicine, a Certificate in Clinical Psychopharmacology and a PhD in Health Psychology.
