About me

I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in cataract and glaucoma surgery at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust where I am the current lead for glaucoma since August 2023. I have over 10 years of ophthalmology experience.

My expertise is in complex cataract and glaucoma surgery. I have modernised the glaucoma service at West Hertfordshire, introducing virtual glaucoma clinics and new treatments to the department such as the Preserflo microshunt, glaucoma tube implants and cyclodiode laser.

I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2010, and completed my speciality training in the Southwest Peninsula. I then completed my higher speciality training in London, at St. Thomas' Hospital, Westminster gaining experience in
managing advanced glaucoma, using the most up-to-date medical, laser and surgical treatments.

I perform cataract surgery which aims to reduce spectacle dependence, and also have extensive experience in complex cataract surgery.

My subspeciality interest is in glaucoma, where I have a particular interest in innovative "drop-free glaucoma management, using the latest laser procedures and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
