About me

I love assessing patients; the �Puzzle� is the most enjoyable part of my current role. I love the clinical challenge; I feel this role would continue to give me the mental challenge I seek and allow me to provide the right care, at the right time in the right place.

I feel I have a varied range of general knowledge, including Orthopaedics, Primary/Secondary Care Outpatients, Neurology, Paediatrics, General Medicine, Surgery Inpatients and Rehabilitation wards as I completed my core rotations as a junior physiotherapist. Then I specialised in MSK Outpatients as a senior physiotherapist for five years prior to starting FCP/Advanced practice Physio work, I feel this is important to be experienced enough to be able to work as an Advanced practitioner safely.

With regards to more complex patients, I have attended and completed an Advanced MSK Practice master's Module at MMU. On reflection, I feel this course has given me a solid foundation when recognising early identification of serious pathology. It has also improved my �Advanced� level clinical decision making, as regards to MRI/scanning interpretation and Rheumatology patients that have no current diagnosis. These skills also help me to manage complex caseloads, identifying early diagnosis of inflammatory conditions and red flag management. This has given me an increased passion to succeed and continue down this path in my career.

In order to meet the remaining three pillars of Advanced practice, I have completed in-house leadership and communication courses; this has improved my knowledge of what will be required from me within this role.
