About me
I am a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a specialist focus in Urogynaecology, working within York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I began my specialist training in York in 2007, obtained my MRCOG in 2012 and completed my training in 2014. Since then, I have worked as a Consultant Gynaecologist across York, Malton and Scarborough hospitals.
During my training I developed a strong interest in benign gynaecological conditions and their impact on women's quality of life, particularly in relation to pelvic floor health. As I advanced my surgical training in both minimally invasive and open techniques, I developed a clear passion for managing pelvic floor dysfunction. To further my expertise, I completed the advanced training module in Urogynaecology and vaginal surgery at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, specialising in the treatment of complex pelvic floor prolapse and urinary incontinence.
Over the past decade I have expanded my focus on pelvic floor health through full-time clinical practice, service development and research involvement. I now serve as the Urogynaecology Lead and co-chair the Pelvic Floor Multidisciplinary Team at the Trust, working collaboratively to ensure individualised care pathways for every patient.
