About me
A Speech and Language Therapist with experience working across the NHS and private sector since 2007. Shelley works mainly with autistic and otherwise neurodivergent people who experience challenges with language and communication. She has experience assessing speech, language and communication needs across a range of developmental profiles, including identifying and supporting children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
Shelley worked within NHS autism diagnostic services and has also set up and run independent autism diagnostic services in Warwickshire and Surrey. She completed a Master's in Special Education: Autism (Children) at the University of Birmingham in 2015.
Shelley offers neurodiversity-affirming, flexible support that is led by the client and tailored to their needs. She doesn't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach and uses a range of strategies to support communication in ways that work for each individual.
