About me
Dr. Calum Lyon graduated from the university of Cambridge in 1991 and trained in dermatology in Salford Royal Hospital in Manchester. He undertook extended training in dermatological surgery and in contact allergy and prick testing
He was appointed dermatologist in York 2001, developing a special interest in skin lesions including cancer, skin surgery, and stoma dermatology. He also works in the University of Manchester dermatology department in Salford Royal one day per month in a specialist dermatology clinic associated with inflammatory bowel disease and stomas
He is an honorary clinical lecturer in York and Manchester and teaches medical students and junior doctors and has addressed local GP groups.
He lectures nationally and internationally on skin conditions affecting stomas.i.e skin around a colostomy or urostomy or ileostomy
He has provided lectures to the public regarding skin diseases and on a local radio phone.
