About me
Dr Geoff Brent is a UK-trained Consultant Dermatologist on the GMC specialist register. He obtained his medical degree and a BSc in Neuroscience from University College London, and undertook specialist Dermatology training in the competitive South West London programme. He currently holds a substantive NHS Consultant post at St Helier Hospital where he sees both adults and children.
Dr Brent has received several prizes from the St John's Dermatological Society, Royal Society of Medicine and British Association of Dermatologists. He was selected as a UK representative for the prestigious Euroderm Excellence Program, ranking in the top three European trainees.
He has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented nationally and internationally. He is actively involved in medical education and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare and Biomedical Education. He is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and St John's Dermatological Society.
Dr Brent consults on on all aspects of general dermatology including eczema, psoriasis, acne, and rosacea. He has an interest in skin cancer, mole checks, and skin screening, and also performs cryotherapy and minor skin surgery. He is known for his friendly, empathetic approach, and is committed to delivering high-quality patient-focused care. Away from work he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, and is a keen squash player.
