My name is Lucy and I am a fully qualified and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.

I utilise my skills and extensive experience to help my clients reach their personal goals and recovery, aiming to empower change and help clients move forward in their life.

Working within the NHS and in private practice, I have gained extensive experience with a wide range of clients struggling with various psychological, emotional and behavioural problems including Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Health Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Social Anxiety, Specific Phobias, self-esteem problems and Depression. I also hold a Masters Degree in a creative psychotherapy.

I provide a safe and confidential therapeutic space, adapting therapy to the needs of the individual and have 12 years' experience of working with adults, young people, children and families in NHS, local authority and private settings.

My approach to therapy is evidence based, which means I utilise a broad range of 'tried and tested' evidence-based practices. I incorporate other approaches into my work such as Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness.

Within my practice, I pride myself in being able to create a collaborative, friendly and informal atmosphere. Trust, confidentiality, and humour are extremely important to me as part of maintaining a sound working relationship between myself and my clients.

I am an Accredited member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) and adhere to the BABCP's code of professional practice and ethical standards for therapeutic work.
