About me
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist. My doctoral research explored the role of storytelling in mental health narratives across first- and second-generation Sierra Leonean communities. As a second-generation West African, I am particularly committed to co-creating a therapeutic space that is culturally sensitive, collaborative, and led by the client, supporting meaningful personal change and growth.
Therapy offers a space for you to explore what matters most to you, and to reflect on experiences, feelings, and thoughts that may be making life feel challenging. As an integrative practitioner with strong humanistic values, I work holistically and tailor therapy to each client's individual needs. I draw on a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed practice, to help reduce psychological distress and support emotional wellbeing.
Alongside my clinical work, I have a background in teaching and extensive experience working with families, children, young people, and adults across a wide range of settings. These include education, looked-after children's services, social services, NHS acute trauma services, NHS psychiatric services, primary care, and private practice. I work with clients across the lifespan and take a systemic approach when working with families and couples.
My aim is to support meaningful and lasting change through the therapeutic process.
