About me

Jeremy is a Consultant Medical Oncologist based at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. He trained in Medical Oncology at the Cancer Research UK Medical Oncology unit in Oxford. During this time he completed a PhD and developed an interest in drug development and clinical trials. Jeremy has worked in Bristol since 2003 and developed a large research focused clinical practice specialising in breast, testicular and germ cell cancers. Jeremy is enthusiastic about improving patients experience of anti-cancer treatments and as Clinical Director at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre helped lead the development of community chemotherapy services in Bristol. He is frequently complimented on his communication skills and the quality of care he provides.

Jeremy sat on a NICE technology appraisal committee for almost 10 years and now works part time with NICE as a consultant clinical adviser helping to develop new cancer guidelines to improve outcomes across the NHS. He is actively involved in clinical research and works one day a week as a Senior Clinical Research Fellow with the Early Breast Cancer Trialists Collaborative group based at Oxford University. The group regularly publish meta-analyses and overviews on treatments for early breast cancer. Jeremy is an Associate Professor at Bristol University and has co-authored over 60 peer reviewed publications. He is a trustee for 'It's in the Bag' testicular cancer charity.
