About me

My practice is located in Hertfordshire in a secluded location between Sarratt and Chorleywood, within easy reach of the M25 and neighbouring areas such as Rickmansworth, Croxley Green, Kings Langley and Watford. Parking is available on my drive.

Sessions offered are between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

My approach is integrative combining psychodynamic and person centred counselling. This allows a flexible approach where therapy can be tailored to suit individual needs. Psychodynamic therapy can help explore and understand how difficult feelings may have been shaped by past experiences and relationships. Thoughts and behaviours can be looked at using a person centred approach, increasing self awareness and confidence, by exploring how we communicate with and respond to others.

People often seek psychotherapy because they are feeling overwhelmed or are experiencing some kind of emotional pain. Issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, low self esteem or anger are often the symptoms of past traumas and experiences. This can result in feelings of sadness, low self confidence and anxiety.

I offer an opportunity to identify and overcome these and other difficult feelings you may be experiencing in a warm, non-judgemental and confidential environment. I am able to work short or long term depending on needs.

My aim is to provide a respectful and supportive setting to explore what might be troubling you, or holding you back. This exploration can help develop a deeper understanding of self, enabling improved relationships with others and better life choices through increased self knowledge and self-awareness.

I offer an initial 30 minute consultation which is free and can be held either online or over the telephone. This time can be used to explore what might be troubling you together with your expectations from counselling. We can establish if we feel we are able to work together and whether you feel counselling is right for you.

Should you choose to proceed, our first session will comprise an assessment during which we can further explore the reasons you have decided to seek support at this time, discuss goals and expectations, and agree a focus for our sessions together.

Sessions are 50 minutes in length, usually held weekly, but flexibility is available as I am mindful of hybrid working and individual needs such as childcare.

If you would like to arrange a consultation, please contact me either by email, telephone or through the contact page on my website. I am able to work short term or long term depending on needs.
