About me
Mr Santdeep Paun is a Consultant Nasal and Facial Plastic Surgeon and Head of Department of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery at the Central London St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals, recognised as the two of the leading teaching hospitals in the UK. His primary subspecialist interest is in Nasal and Facial Plastic Surgery.
An extensive part of his workload is in complex reconstructive and aesthetic septorhinoplasty, otoplasty surgery as well as extended applications of endoscopic sinus surgery and snoring / sleep apnoea.
Having completed a stringent examination and credentials process, he was the first UK based surgeon certified by the globally recognised International Board of Facial Plastic Surgical Societies. He co-runs a multidisciplinary team specialising in long term injuries following facial trauma involving OMFS, Ophthalmic and Neurosurgical colleagues together providing a unique, comprehensive service to the London and South East UK. This team was involved with treating victims from the London bombings and overall treats the highest number of high velocity facial injuries in the UK. They are leading this field with their unparalleled multidisciplinary approach. He works to rehabilitate and reconstruct chronic injuries including complex nasal trauma, soft tissue injuries and scar revision. He also has an interest in reanimation techniques following facial paralysis.
Mr Paun’s private practice reflects his University NHS teaching practice and also includes a cosmetic practice in all aspects of surgical and non-surgical techniques in nasal and facial plastic surgery plus snoring and sleep apnoea.He is founder and Medical Director of Symmetry Clinic based in Harley Street.
Mr Paun has a strong interest in teaching and has lectured nationally and internationally on various aspects of his work in this field of expertise. He is a sought after faculty member of numerous national and international courses and all European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS) and International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgical Societies (IFFPSS) meetings. He co-runs established courses in Septal, Rhinoplasty and soft tissue techniques in facial plastic surgery. He is the Inaugural and current President of the European Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, General Secretary of the International Board and Treasurer and Executive Board Member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. In the past few years, he has written extensively on the subject including co-authoring ten separate book chapters.
