About me

Dr David Lo is a Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine (PRM) at the Leicester Children's Hospital and an Associate Professor with the University of Leicester.

After completing his schooling in Norfolk, David was awarded his medical degree from the University of Leicester in 2006, before completing a GMC accredited higher specialist training programme in PRM throughout the East Midlands and being appointed as a Consultant in 2018.

He has expertise in the management of children with asthma, cough, breathlessness, recurrent chest infections, chronic lung diseases including bronchiectasis, hayfever, rhinitis, congenital lung malformations, and airway abnormalities amongst other complex lung diseases. David is committed to delivering high quality, holistic, patient-centred and evidence-based care for all his patients.

David is active in research and was awarded a prestigious National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) Advanced fellowship in 2022, providing funding for a programme of research into wheeze and asthma in preschool children.

All paediatric respiratory presentations in children and young people from 0-16 years including: asthma; preschool wheeze; chronic cough; breathlessness; recurrent chest infections; chronic lung diseases including bronchiectasis; hayfever; rhinitis; congenital lung malformations; and airway abnormalities amongst other complex lung diseases.
