About me

I have been working as a Psychologist and Psychotherapist in the NHS in London for over two decades. I have worked in adult, child and family and perinatal mental health settings.

This breadth and depth of experience means that I am adept at being able to help you individually, in your couple relationship or as a family. I can support you to make sense of the difficulties you are experiencing, both within yourself and your relationships with others.

I use a psychodynamic therapeutic framework, as this helps to bring understanding to the distress you are experiencing by placing it in the context of your whole life.

I also offer help for expectant parents, mothers and fathers and carers, individually, as a couple and with your children. This is when the prospect or the experience of parenting a small baby may feel challenging or, at times, overwhelming. I have supported under 5s and primary school aged children and families when a young person is experiencing a variety of different emotional and/or behavioural difficulties and parents are uncertain how to support their child. The therapeutic work I offer includes individual therapy with children and joint sessions with children and parents together. The reason for the latter has been to facilitate the child's expression through child led play, or through family art sessions, to assist awareness of emotional states. This can also nurture the relationship between a child and their parent(s).
