About me

Dr Tahir Anwar is a highly experienced NHS Consultant in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine with over 10 years of consultant-level experience. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of respiratory conditions like COPD, asthma, Emphysema, chronic cough, breathlessness, Lung fibrosis, lung cancer, recurrent chest infections, sleep apnoea, bronchiectasis, Lung clots, sarcoidosis, lung nodules and can arrange and interpret various investigations/tests like Spirometry, Lung function tests, FeNO test, chest X-ray and CT scans, and sleep studies

Dr Anwar has extensive experience managing complex respiratory illnesses in both inpatient and outpatient settings. During his career, he has worked at renowned NHS institutions, including Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, London, and currently serves as the Trust Lead for COPD and Smoking Cessation Services.
His approach focuses on delivering accurate diagnoses, clear communication, and personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

• MRCP (UK) General Internal Medicine
• MRCP (UK) Respiratory Medicine
• European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine
• Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine.

I am currently working as a consultant in Respiratory medicine in the NHS.

I have many years of experience in general respiratory medicine with a special interest in managing chronic cough, chest infections, asthma and other lung disorders.
