About me
Mr Dinesh Nathwani is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and the Cleveland Clinic London.
He has a special interest in knee reconstruction, both acute soft tissue and bone conserving arthroplasty using Computer Navigated and Robotic Knee Replacement Surgery. His areas of expertise include:

Dinesh Nathwani has over 28 years of surgical experience including 18 years as a Consultant Knee Specialist and has pioneered the use of navigation and robotic knee replacement techniques and implant design for partial and total knee replacements in the UK.
Dinesh Nathwani was appointed as Consultant and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College in 2004. He is the current President of CAOS UK (Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery UK).
Mr Nathwani graduated from Sheffield University Medical School in 1991 and undertook his surgical training in the North West Mersey Rotation. In 2005 he completed a Computer Assisted Surgery Fellowship in Perth, Western Australia and a fellowship in sports knee ligament reconstruction and unicompartmental knee replacement in Sydney, Australia.
Mr Nathwani’s research interests are focused on continuing development of the techniques of knee reconstruction using Computer Aided techniques and performs all his knee replacements using the technology. He sits on a number of development panels to advance the research and development of this technology. Dinesh Nathwani is also a faculty member on several national and international knee and trauma reconstruction courses teaching surgeons of all grades.
