About me

Dr Panicos Shangaris is a highly skilled consultant with over 18 years of experience. He specialises in all aspects of fetal medicine, pregnancy, high-risk pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis and preconception counselling.

Outside of delivering private maternity care and specialised ultrasounds, Dr Shangaris holds the Maternal and Fetal Medicine Consultant position at King's College Hospital (KCH) and Senior Clinical Lecturer at King's College London.

Dr Shangaris graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2005 and pursued higher specialist training in London at renowned institutions such as University College London (UCL), the Royal Free London, and North Middlesex Hospitals. He obtained a Master's degree and a PhD in Fetal Medicine and prenatal genetics from UCL. Dr Shangaris then completed his subspecialty training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at St Thomas' Hospital and KCH.

Dr Shangaris continues to contribute to maternal and fetal medicine research actively, leading numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is passionate about research, and this is reflected in all areas of his clinical work, where he strives to deliver the best clinical outcomes for his patients based on the latest medical evidence from around the world.

Dr Shangaris is available at Westminster Women's Clinic in Earl's Court for consultations, ultrasound scans, and maternity bookings for private delivery at The Portland Hospital.
