About me

My name is David Cowan, and I am a Private Physiotherapist based in Dunfermline, Fife.
I have extensive knowledge of sport being an Ex-Professional Footballer for 16 years playing for Newcastle United FC, Motherwell FC, St Johnstone FC, Dundee FC, Gretna FC and four other clubs winning four league and cup trophies.
After suffering several major injuries and retiring from professional sport in 2015 I made the decision to study Physiotherapy, graduating with a First Class Honours. Since 2017 I have worked alongside one of Scotland's top Physiotherapist's, Stuart Barton at his main Clinic in Anstruther. In December 2022 I opened a new Physiotherapy clinic room in Dunfermline bringing my knowledge and experience to the west side of Fife.

I specialise in Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedics, Neurological and Sports Injuries focussing on diagnosis and treatments ranging from Spinal Manipulation, Joint articulation and mobilisation, Acupuncture, Soft tissue massage, Sports and K-Tape strapping, Exercise prescription and Gym programs and early to late-stage pre and post operation rehabilitation.
