About me
Mr Sood's higher specialist training was undertaken in the UK, USA and Australia. He was born in Leeds and educated at Leeds Grammar School. He was appointed Consultant ENT- Head & Neck Surgeon in 2003 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals where he has held roles including Director of ENT, Clinical Governance Lead and Speciality Training Lead. He is the current President of ENTUK Head & Neck Society. He is a member (previous council member) of the British Rhinology Society, North of England ENT Society and Royal Society Medicine (member of Council for the Head and Neck Section). He is a member of the Court of Examiners for the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology. He was Editor-in-Chief of the journal 'The Otorhinolaryngologist' from 2004-2019. Mr Sood's practice is divided between nasal (cosmetic rhinoplasty and functional septorhinoplasty -over 1000 procedures done) surgery, sinus surgery (including advanced complex sinus surgery, over 2000 procedures done), neck and thyroid lumps, head and neck cancer (over 500 resections done), snoring surgery, voice and swallow disorders and general ENT conditions for both adults and children.
Mr Sood is also the author of the National Guidelines for salivary tumour management. He also has an interest in snoring and sleep medicine. He has an established rhinoplasty practice having performed over 1000 rhinoplasty procedures and has extensive experience in sinus surgery (over 2000 procedures performed). He has embraced technology introducing procedures such as balloon sinuplasty, use of navigation system with Propel implants in sinus surgery at the private hospitals and Robotic surgery at his NHS practice. He regularly lectures at national and international meetings and teaches regularly on regional and national training courses.
