About me
I am a highly qualified Clinical Psychologist with 25 years experience of working across NHS, independent and voluntary sectors. This has involved providing therapeutic support for adults, children and young people, families, parents and carers covering a broad range of mental health needs. I also provide clinical supervision, reflective practice, training and consultation to other clinicians.
I am committed to thinking about people in their context, be it family, school, community, workplace or society as a whole and to create safe spaces for people to make sense of their unique life experiences; to tell their story, and to develop it. I work in partnership with adults, children, and young people to deliver therapy in creative, flexible ways that takes into account all the various aspects of, and influences on, a person's life.
Areas of interest
I work across the lifespan, including young children and their parents and families as well as adolescents and adults of all ages.
Areas of Interest include: Anxiety; Depression; Trauma; Attachment issues; Loss, Grief and Transition; Parenting, Disability, Learning Disability, Ageing and Existential Issues.
I draw upon a broad range of therapeutic models to provide an individually tailored approach, including CBT, Narrative Therapies, Attachment Focused Therapies, Mentalisation, Family Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Mindfulness, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Compassion Focused Approaches.
