About me

Throughout my working life I have been focused on enabling people to grow and make changes. I have been a professionally qualified counsellor, supervisor and trainer since 2005, I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I am bound by and adhere to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I can be found on the register of BACP Accredited members.

My knowledge and skills have developed through my therapeutic work with Relate by working with children, young people, adults and couples . More recently I have worked for Nuffield Health and BUPA doing sessional work in addition to building up my private practice as a counsellor.

I keep up to date with safeguarding training and make a regular commitment to on-going professional development and clinical supervision. I work as a clinical supervisor offering ongoing sessions to counsellors supporting their work and offering experience and advice regarding best practice.

I work with clients from age 4 to adult on an individual basis and with couples, dealing with a wide range of issues. The length of time clients work with me varies according to the needs of each person and includes both longer term therapeutic work as well as short term solution focused counselling. In broad terms short term counselling will typically be 6 � 12 sessions whilst working Psychodynamically at greater depth will take longer.

Areas of interest

I work with children from the age of 4, young people and adults. Providing support to empower clients to deal with challenges relating to although not limited to: relationship issues, coping with the impact of divorce and separation, bereavement, anxiety, work stress and themes around identity and self esteem. I am also Psychodynamically trained, with additional training in Play Therapy, Couples Training and Supervision.
