About me

I'm a Clinical Psychologist with 17 years of experience working in the helping professions. I'm committed to providing therapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental setting. I value being openminded, forward thinking, informed and compassionate. In working with you, I aim to provide sensitivity and understanding while helping you gain insight into your struggles and take steps toward positive change.

I practice integrative therapy and combine different therapeutic approaches depending on what is needed to help you in your current situation. I highly value the therapeutic relationship and will work collaboratively to make sure we're on the same page, always working towards the same goals together.

I take an integrative approach, drawing on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), parts work, Narrative practice, and a Systemic approach. I believe that these approaches best help us to identify our values, strengths, and skills in order to confront our problems most effectively.

In private practice, I specialise in working with adults in the LGBTQ+ communities, Gender, Sex & Relationship Diversity (GSRD), sex therapy, sex problems, sexual health, gender identity and women's health. I have a special interest in diversity & inclusion, minority stress, intersectionality and the ways in which our experiences of discrimination and feeling 'other' can negatively impact our mental health. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, low mood, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, obsessive thinking, panic, autism, family strain, struggles related to identity, trauma, conflict and anger. In addition to client work, I offer clinical supervision especially in the area of sex, sexuality and gender identity.

I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East London. Prior to that, I earned a PhD in Psychosexual Difficulties at University College London (UCL). I am HCPC registered and chartered by the BPS and I currently work in the NHS, private practice and academia.
