About me

Dr. Sarah Brown is a Consultant Paediatrician with a sub-specialisation in paediatric respiratory medicine. She graduated from the Royal Free and University College Medical School, University of London, in 2000, earning a BSc in Clinical Immunology and Cell Pathology alongside her medical degree. During her medical school elective, Dr. Brown worked in Paediatric Trauma at the Red Cross Children's Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa, where she developed a passion for paediatrics.

After returning to the UK, Dr. Brown completed training posts in medicine and surgery in London, followed by a comprehensive programme in general paediatrics and neonatology. A post at the Royal Brompton Hospital led her to pursue subspecialty training in paediatric respiratory medicine. This training included further appointments at the Royal Brompton Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and the Royal London Hospital, as well as a two-year research degree at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.

In 2015, Dr. Brown was appointed as a Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at the Royal London Hospital, where she also serves as the Clinical Lead for the paediatric respiratory service.

Dr. Brown is an active member of professional organisations, including the General Medical Council, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the British Paediatric Respiratory Society, the British Thoracic Society, and the European Respiratory Society. Through her clinical practice, research, and leadership, Dr. Brown is committed to delivering exceptional care to her young patients and advancing the field of paediatric respiratory medicine.
