About me
Dr Fareed Shiva completed medical training at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and moved to London for speciality training in Genitourinary Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in 2016. As well as being a member of the Royal College of Physicians, Fareed has a masters degree in Tropical Medicine and International Health and Diplomas in HIV, Genitourinary Medicine and Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health.
He is an expert in management of complex sexually transmitted infections. His specialist area of interest is syphilis and neurosyphilis where he has published papers on the subject and regularly gives talks at national meetings.
He also works as part of the Sexual Function team at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust, which is a national tertiary centre for referrals and manages a variety of individuals who are experiencing sexual difficulties including erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory problems and low desire. As part of a volunteer programme, Fareed provides remote expert advice on HIV and sexual health in rural areas of Zambia.
Fareed is an avid reader, enjoys writing and is passionate about cooking and travelling.
