About me

I am Lead Clinician for Head and Neck Cancer at Manchester Royal Infirmary, where I have been a consultant otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon since 2002. My practice focuses on surgery for head and neck cancers, thyroid problems, skull base tumours, head & neck dystonias.

I have established several innovative clinics at these hospitals, including the regional head and neck dystonia clinic, a neck/thyroid lump clinic with surgeon delivered ultrasound, transoral laser microsurgery for head and neck cancers and a comprehensive skull base oncology service.

An international authority on ENT / Head & Neck surgery, I present at national and international conferences and am clinical Chair of otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the Manchester Academic Health Sciences Centre.
