About me
I am the head of the connective tissue disease service at King's College Hospital which currently cares for approximately 800 patients with connective tissue disease and vasculitis including SLE, Mixed connective tissue disease, Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis, Sjogren's Syndrome, Systemic Sclerosis, polyangiitis with granulomatosis (Wegener's), Temporal arteritis.
I have a particular interest in Inflammatory Myositis and run NHS clinics at both King's College Hospital and St. Thomas' Hospital lupus Unit for this condition. My other subpeciality interest is lung disease in the connective tissue diseases and I have specialist NHS clinics for this at King's and Guy's Hospitals in collaboration with the chest team.
In addition to my specialist expertise I have a broad experience in general rheumatology including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Gout and soft tissue rheumatology.
Areas of interest
Connective tissue disease in particular inflammatory myositis and systemic lupus erythematosus. I also hasve specific expertise in connective tissue disease associated interstitial lung disease.
