About me

Can you tell me a bit about you?
I'm originally from Ghana and moved to the UK when I was seven. My passion for psychology began in high school during my A-levels, where i quickly found myself facinated by the subject.

I went on to complete my undergraduate degree in Applies Psychology at John Moores University. After that, I completed a post-gradauate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the University of Birmingham, and later, my doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Liverpool. Along the way, I have had the amazing opportunity to work across a range of community and inpatient settings with children, adolescents, adults and famillies.

My doctoral research examined the role of ethnicity in relation to childbirth experience and post-traumatic stress symptomology.

What will it be like when I meet you?
Starting therapy can be a big step, and it's normal to feel nervous or unsure about what to expect. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where we can take things at a pace that feels right for you.

During our sessions, we'll explore what's happening for you, and i'll listen to understand your experiences. Collaboration is key in my approach- I believe in working side by side so that you feel empowered and an active part of our journey together.

What therapies do you use and what kind of difficulties do you help people with?
I use a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectircal Behaviour Therapy (DBT), systemic family approaches, Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy, and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT).

With experience in each of these methods, I tailor an integrated approach to suit each person's unique needs. I work with people facing a variety of challenges, such as low mood/depression, anxiety. PTSD, OCD, stress, low self-esteem, relationship and family difficulties, and long-term health conditions.

What do you enjoy outside of psychology?
Outside of psychology, I love hosting and attending games nights, even if i don't always win. Cooking, travelling, music and having new and fun experiences are some of my other big passions! My perfect weekend often starts with a great pastry and coffee, followed by a walk with good company.
