About me
Dr Michael Bellamy is a Consultant Cardiologist based at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (Hammersmith), a leading teaching hospital and Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC). Uniquely, he has attained subspeciaity expertise in both echocardiography / imaging and interventional cardiology, having completed his training in London teaching hospitals as well as 2 International Fellowships abroad, the first at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA (Valvular Heart Disease) and St Vincent's University Hospital, Sydney, Australia (Interventional Cardiology).
He jointly leads the Imperial Percutaneous Mitral Valve Programme as well as Valve Clinics and specialist echocardiography.
He participates in the on-call rota for the West London Heart Attack Centre based at Hammersmith Hospital, performing emergency PCI (stenting) procedures in addition to elective coronary artery disease work.
He undertakes general cardiology clinics and sees patients with all types of cardiology problems.
