About me
Dr. Arun Nair is a Senior Consultant & Hon Senior Lecturer in Respiratory Medicine with over 25 years of clinical experience based at the Freeman Hospital & Newcastle University.
His expertise is in the management of complex respiratory medicine with additional sub-specialty expertise in lung transplantation, pulmonary vascular diseases, asthma and interventional bronchoscopy.
He has a national and international profile in the field of lung transplantation and pulmonary hypertension. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh (RCPE) and member of the British Thoracic Society (BTS) & International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT).
He is a recipient of the prestigious Scadding Morriston Davies Higher Respiratory fellowship and built his advanced bronchoscopy skills in Germany. He was a National Senior Research Fellow in pulmonary hypertension at the Northern National Pulmonary Hypertension Service in Newcastle in 2011 and is a consultant since 2012.
