About me

I am a qualified Accredited Integrative Counsellor and Supervisor.

I have a private Counselling and Supervision practice in Herne Bay. I am a supervisor of Bereavement Volunteers and Counsellors in training at a Bereavement Charity. I supervise Therapists who work in a Mental Health Charity. I have worked as a High Intensity Counsellor with NHS clients.

Prior to this, I set up a Counselling Service in London with other counselling professionals. During my time there I counselled clients who experienced many different issues and I supervised groups of counsellors who volunteered for the service. I worked for the London Borough of Merton for over fifteen years in adult social care. Managing supported living homes for adults with Leaning Disabilities, Neurodivergence, Physical Disabilities and Mental Health Conditions.

I am a trained Bereavement Counsellor. I worked at a Bereavement Counselling Agency in London and for a counselling agency providing counselling in schools in London.

I have worked with children, young people, adults, couples, and groups, offering short and long-term therapy for a variety of different issues.

I integrate Person Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, TA, Gestalt and Clarkson's Therapeutic Model within my individual therapeutic approach. I use creative techniques when this is appropriate, such as play therapy and drawing with children and particularly in the bereavement work with clients of all ages. I feel that my adaptable approach can meet the best needs of my clients.

I am a genuine, non-judgemental, empathic counsellor. It is important to develop a good therapeutic relationship with my clients to enable them to work through the issues they bring to counselling. I provide a safe and supportive environment where my clients can work through their issues with me and make positive changes in their lives.
