About me
I have been a Consultant Physician in Sleep, Respiratory, and General Medicine since 2014.
I trained in the UK, graduating from Guy's, King's, and St Thomas' School of Medicine, and completed post graduate training in London and the East of England, including three years as a Research Fellow in Cambridge. As well as my private practice, I also work at the internationally renowned King's College Hospital, London, where I am Co-Lead for Clinical Governance.
I specialise in all aspects of Respiratory and Sleep medicine, including patients with snoring, excessive sleepiness, chronic cough, breathlessness, wheeze and prolonged or recurrent chest infections. I also perform and interpret a wide range of investigations, including home sleep monitoring and lung function tests.
I typically meet at least 20 patients with sleep or respiratory problems every day, which over the course of a decade as a Consultant, amounts to a wealth of experience with many thousands of patients having been treated successfully.
I teach and supervise all years of medical students at King's College London. I am a supervisor to all grades of doctors in post-graduate training and I am trained in hospital leadership (at Keele University) and have had experience as Clinical Lead and Clinical Director.
I continue to contribute to research and am well published in the field of Respiratory and Sleep medicine. I have received a number of awards, including as Top Teacher, voted by the junior doctors at Basildon Hospital in 2016, and was highly commended in the annual British Medical Journal awards in 2019.
