About me
I am an accredited psychotherapist (MSc, MBACP Accred.) with extensive experience working across NHS, private, and voluntary sectors since 2008. My background includes inpatient, community, and specialist settings, supporting adults from a wide range of professional and personal backgrounds. I have worked as a psychotherapist since 2019 and have helped hundreds of clients navigate difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and work-related stress. I am an approved therapist with a range of organisations including the Police Firearms Officers' Association and Derby City Council.
My approach is integrative, combining Person-Centred Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to meet each client's individual needs. This means our work together can explore both the underlying patterns shaping your experiences (Attachment), and the present-day thoughts and behaviours that maintain them (CBT), while ensuring the process always takes place within a safe, supportive, and collaborative relationship (Person-Centred). I also draw on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) where helpful, to build self-understanding and emotional resilience.
I offer a calm, professional environment in which you can reflect, gain clarity, and move towards meaningful and sustainable change. Sessions are available in person in Derby or online, and I would be delighted to hear from you.
