About me

Emily is an HCPC registered dietitian with a specialist interest in gut, immune and metabolic health.

She began her career in academic research, earning a PhD in virology at the University of Bristol, before working on multiple projects investigating the relationships between immune responses, viral infections, and the microbiomes of the gut and respiratory system. Throughout her career, Emily has shared her expertise by publishing scientific papers, contributing to books, and speaking at conferences.

Since qualifying as a clinical dietitian, Emily has worked with private patients and for NHS trusts, previously holding dietetic lead roles for the Coeliac disease and Type 2 Diabetes services, and is a member of the healthcare panel for The IBS Network.

Offering a personalised approach to care allows Emily to work with patients to come up with a plan tailored to each individual's needs that is realistic, effective and practical to implement whether related to managing a medical condition, alleviating specific symptoms, or improving overall health and wellbeing.
