About me
Hello, I'm Emma, an accredited counsellor offering a calm, supportive space where you can explore whatever is weighing on you. I work with women and adults (18+) who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or unsure where they fit in the world. My role is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported as you make sense of your experiences and move towards meaningful, sustainable change.
Many of the women I work with have spent a long time holding things together for others while feeling lost, exhausted, or unseen themselves. Some come to therapy at a point of burnout or transition; others following a late or recent neurodivergent diagnosis, or with a growing sense that old patterns no longer serve them. You don't have to figure this out alone.
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, with particular experience in:
Neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, and self-exploration)
Disordered eating, emotional eating, binge eating, and body image concerns
(I am an Understand Your Eating licensed practitioner and hold an Advanced Diploma in Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating. I do not currently work with anorexia.)
 Trauma and childhood experiences
Low self-esteem, shame, and identity struggles
Relationship difficulties, breakdown, and attachment patterns
 Anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout
Many of my clients are parents, or considering becoming parents, who want to better understand their own experiences so that generational trauma isn't repeated. Others are navigating womanhood alongside neurodivergence, caring roles, identity shifts, or complex relationships with food, body, and self-worth.
I also support individuals exploring their relationship with food, body, exercise, or weight. This may include therapeutic support alongside weight loss injections, with a strong focus on compassion, autonomy, and healing your relationship with food rather than control or shame.
Neurodivergent-affirming support
I have both lived and professional experience of neurodivergence and understand the challenges of navigating a world that often isn't designed with you in mind. Sessions are adapted to suit your sensory needs, processing style, and communication preferences. My counselling room is a calm, regulated environment where you don't need to mask, perform, or explain yourself.
Disordered eating and body image
I offer a trauma-informed, non-judgemental approach that explores the emotional, relational, and identity-based aspects of food and body image. Together, we work towards greater understanding, self-compassion, and a kinder relationship with yourself.
My approach
I work relationally and collaboratively, bringing my authentic self into the therapy room. Therapy with me is not about fixing you. It is about understanding you. Our work will always move at a pace that feels safe for you.
Many clients tell me they value my warmth, honesty, and down-to-earth approach, and that therapy feels like a place where they can finally breathe.
