About me

I work with women who are going through emotional challenges that often arise during mid-life, which can be a time of elevated stress, change and transition.

Women can often find themselves struggling under the pressure of:
- multiple external demands, including work commitments and changing family roles (e.g. caring for ageing parents).
- psychological challenges, such as feeling less confident, feeling more anxious and/or low, struggling with concentration or 'brain fog'.
- physical changes, including the hormonal fluctuations of perimenopause and menopause, weight gain, and lack of energy.

How I Can Help:
I support women to make sense of how they are feeling, by exploring the specific psychological, physical, and social factors affecting their well-being, and offering practical, evidence-based strategies to help women feel empowered and skilled in managing challenges during mid-life.

I provide a safe space to work through emotional difficulties that may have been building up for some time. We will work together to identify priorities that you wish to address, and create a plan that is tailored to meeting your individual needs, with practical tools to manage emotions, stress and to help rebuild confidence and resilience.

My Approach:
I use a blend of evidence-based approaches including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Neuroscience-informed strategies
- Mindfulness & Compassion-Focused approaches
- Lifestyle and behavioural interventions for better physical and emotional balance
- Nutritional therapy interventions to support psychological well-being

I also draw on the EMBERS framework, developed by Simona Stokes (Counselling Psychologist) which integrates the above methods to support women through the challenges of midlife and beyond.
