About me
Ruth trained in South Wales and worked in the NHS for over 30 years, alongside a small private practice. Registered with the HCPC as a clinical and forensic psychologist, Ruth is also chartered with the British Psychological Society as a coaching psychologist and an applied psychology supervisor She holds post graduate diplomas in teaching and academic practice and working with people living with personality difficulties. Ruth has received training in a number of effective psychological therapies including CBT, ACT, MBT, MBSR, EMDR, MI, CAT and DBT. In addition, Ruth is trained and experienced in assessing and diagnosing autism for adults. Ruth has worked in several NHS adult mental health settings and in higher education. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, she is able to work flexibly with people to formulate and tailor psychological therapy treatment plans, integrating findings from research on what works generally with what matters most to the person.
