About me

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years experience providing psychological therapy and support to adult clients. I am a registered practitioner with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and with the British Psychological Society (BPS). I have worked primarily in the NHS and private practice both at home and equivalent overseas. Currently my focus is on private practice provision.

Areas of interest

I have extensive experience working with adults with a range of neurological conditions, acquired brain injury, mental health difficulties and those adjusting to physical ill health and disability. I also work with people with Functional Neurological Disorders.

Individual therapy includes anxiety conditions, depression, self-esteem, trauma, adjustment issues. In general I help to facilitate, encourage, cultivate and strengthen your ability to cope with past and present difficulties, life changes/challenges and the increased confidence to be able to deal with any future difficulties and possible resolution of these.

My primary therapeutic models are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment therapy although I utilise a variety of other therapeutic approaches for which I have training and experience including Compassion Focused Therapy, EMDR
